Why Armenia
Armenian Tech Sector
Life in Armenia
Steady growth
In recent years the Armenian tech sector is experiencing rapid progression. The annual growth in tech has been 20-25% since 2005, while 2016 was marked by 38.5%. The steady growth metrics of the local tech landscape prompt international investments mainly in the form of opening branches or R&D centers in Yerevan.

ServiceTitan Armenia is one such example. The Yerevan office was founded at the end of 2018 and managed to attract highly-competitive engineers from Europe and CIS countries.
Global reach
Armenian companies use the small market to their advantage, and from the very beginning, are aiming for international outreach. Roughly a dozen multinational tech corporations appeared in Armenia through the acquisition of Armenian startups.

A lot of Armenian startups succeed in raising funds from the top international VC firms like Sequoia Capital, DCM Ventures, Insight Venture Partners. While Yerevan hosts large-scale ICT events such as WCIT, HIVE Tech Summit, and more.
Startup culture
The tech startup culture is on the rise in Armenia. The Government supports the sector with the IT Startup Certificate that exempts the business from corporate income tax until the end of 2022 and reduces the payroll tax to 10% from the normally applicable 23%-28%.
Women in Tech
Armenia proudly stands out with a high percentage of women in tech. On average, in the world, only 20% of women are employed in the tech industry. In Armenia, the rate of women in tech is 30%, and in ServiceTitan, it is 37%.

Safe environment

Armenia is in the 9th place among the world's safest countries based on the 2020 Safety Index and the top 3rd country in terms of children's security and overall well-being, according to The Children's Society (UK).
Cost of living

Competitive salaries in addition to the low cost of living create comfortable living conditions. Yerevan is 29% cheaper than Moscow, 56% cheaper than Los Angeles, and 47% cheaper than Beirut.
The real taste

Armenian cuisine comes with an abundance of veggies, fruits, and meat. The agricultural sector is traditionally strong in the country, which makes it a place to enjoy food without a second thought. If you find yourself an Armenian buddy, they will introduce you to the Armenian khash, dolma, and khorovats.
Quality education

In Armenia, there are several educational programs that do not have analogs in the world, such as Ayb school, UWC international college, and Tumo Center for Creative Technologies. You will find quality education for the kids in English, French, and Russian languages.
